Saturday night we had the immense pleasure to vibe and dance at two great parties. First we got to see incredible performances at Kompression: Guests Pezzner, from Cali, and Kevin Knapp, from Berlin; as well as Kompression residents, Unicorn Fukr, Ryan Deffes, and Herb Christopher at The Dragon's Den. Outside of the Dragon's Den, on the corner of Frenchmen and Esplanade, we joined a group of party people dancing on the street, assisted by a mobile DJ, who was wheeling a cart outfitted with speakers and an iPad for mixing.
The next destination of the night was a nondescript warehouse, where we were welcomed into a energetic rave and subsequently into a eargasmic journey. OCTO OCTA joined TRAXONLY this time, indulging us with very deep acid techno/house-tech set. The carefully picked samples, complex synth melodies, and thundering beats traveled though our bodies and resonated deep into our souls. There was no way to stand still. I was almost brought to tears by how touching the music was.

Voodoo/Halloween weekend was one for the books. These stills are from Friday, Oct. 27, at Poor Boys. The DJs of TRAXONLY joined forces with Gavin Rayna of LCD Soundsystem to provide us with synth heavy tunes that kept the dance floor ondulating all night.

Sunday we went back to the Dragons Den for CHURCH* to be blessed buy sermons by DJs Billy Kenny, Doctor Jeep, Sarah Sativa, and a surprise a b2b set by SUNBRN and Autograf. I used this setting to reflect on the sacrilegious transgressions witnessed the previous night.
